In Diffa, Niger, the campaign « Safe Return of Children to School » aims to encourage all children in the region to return to school, including those who had dropped out or never had the opportunity to attend.
The Diffa region, located in the southeast of Niger near Nigeria, faces many challenges, especially in terms of education and security. The Governor of Diffa emphasized the importance of school, not only as a place to learn but also as a place to protect children. He stated, « The development of our country depends on education. »
The goal of the campaign is to allow all children, even those who stopped going to school or never attended, to resume their studies and have a better future. The Governor stressed the importance of the involvement of teachers and parents to ensure that all children return to class.
This campaign is supported by the Nigerien government, which prioritizes education, with the help of NGOs and UN agencies. Through this project, Diffa hopes to offer a brighter future for the region’s youth by guaranteeing their access to education.
