From July 26 to August 2, 2025, Kigali will host the Giants of Africa Festival. Hundreds of young athletes from across Africa will play basketball and enjoy African culture with concerts, dance, and fun activities.
The Giants of Africa Festival is a super cool event that happens every summer in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. In 2025, from July 26 to August 2, 320 young basketball players from 20 African countries will come together to train and have fun. This festival is not just about sports: there will also be dance shows, music concerts, and lots of cultural activities for kids and families.
The festival is organized by Masai Ujiri, a basketball champion and president of the famous NBA team, the Toronto Raptors. On July 27, there will be a big opening concert at the BK Arena with well-known artists like DJ Uncle Waffles and Sherrie Silver. This festival is a great chance for young people to learn, play sports, and discover the richness of African culture.
