Abdoul Madjid Builds Niger’s First Electric Motorcycle

Once upon a time, in the beautiful country of Niger, there was Abdoul Madjid, a 24-year-old Nigerien full of dreams and ambitions. With a lot of courage and creativity, he succeeded in designing and manufacturing the first electric motorcycle « made in Niger. » Imagine a vehicle that looks like a bicycle but larger, capable of taking you anywhere with an electric motor!

This electric motorcycle is very special. It can travel up to 50 kilometers on a single battery charge. It’s like being able to go to school, run errands, and come back home without ever stopping to recharge! And if you enjoy going fast, know that it can reach a speed of 100 km/h. This means you can ride as fast as a racing bike, but without the engine noise.

The young inventor didn’t stop there. He wanted his motorcycle to be truly unique, so he took inspiration from other models of motorcycles and electric bikes he had seen, like the Weped. But what’s really great is that he added his own Nigerien touch. « On the handlebars, I added a color that represents our flag, » he proudly states.

This young man is a true role model for all children and teenagers who dream of creating something new. « It’s not rocket science, » he asserts. He firmly believes that with hard work, it’s possible to produce these motorcycles on a large scale in Niger. This could even create jobs for other young people, allowing them to achieve their own dreams.
