Meet AbdulLateef Olaosebikan, a Nigerian innovator who helps farmers preserve their crops with a brilliant invention.
AbdulLateef Olaosebikan is a young Nigerian entrepreneur who co-founded NaFarm Foods, a company that makes a big difference for farmers. He came up with a smart solution to a major problem: the loss of crops after harvest. Every year, many farmers lose their fruits and vegetables because they can’t store them properly.
AbdulLateef designed a hybrid solar-powered dryer, enabling farmers to dry their crops without needing much electricity, while using the free and clean power of the sun. This invention earned NaFarm Foods the prestigious Zayed Sustainability Prize 2025 in the Food category. The award was presented during the ceremony held in January 2025 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This victory helped AbdulLateef stand out among global innovators and assist thousands of farmers in improving their livelihoods.
Today, AbdulLateef shows children and adults that with creative ideas, we can solve big problems and help people live better.
