Ace Liam, the Youngest Artist in the World!

@Guinness World Records

Ace Liam is only 1 year and 4 months old, but he is already a global star. This young Ghanaian boy has been recognized as the youngest artist by the Guinness World Records during a press conference on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

A Little Painting Prodigy

Ace Liam started painting at just six months old in his mother’s studio. « He paints when he sees me painting, » explains his mom, Chantelle Eghan. « At first, he could barely crawl, but as soon as he could move around, he always came to sit next to me to paint. » At 11 months, he even started using a brush to spread the paint on the canvas, showing a surprising intuition for his age.

A Recognition That Surprises

Ace Liam’s feat left many Ghanaians skeptical, unable to believe that such a young child could create meaningful works. However, renowned Ghanaian artist Amarkine Amateifio sees things differently. « All children are potential artists, scientists, and engineers, » he says. « It is up to us adults to nurture these natural talents. »

An Inspiration for All Parents

For Amateifio, the family environment plays a crucial role. He praises Chantelle Eghan for creating a space that allows her son’s talents to flourish. « This Guinness record should inspire parents to be attentive to their children’s talents and provide the necessary tools for them to thrive, » he asserts.

A Historic Record

Ace Liam was recognized by the Guinness World Records after his exhibition in Accra in January 2024, breaking the previous record held by Dante Lamb, who was three years old in 2003. His story proves that even the youngest can achieve great things when they are supported and encouraged.
