More and more African inventors are creating clean cars that don’t need petrol. Let’s see how they work and why they are better for the planet.
Imagine a car that drives quietly, without smoke, and without petrol! This is possible thanks to electricity. In Uganda, the company Kiira Motors built the Kiira EV, a 100% electric car powered by rechargeable batteries. In Ghana, young engineers have created electric motorcycles for delivery drivers. And in Rwanda, electric taxis are already driving through the streets of Kigali!
These vehicles are quieter and don’t release harmful gases. They help fight climate change. Some even run on solar energy, like prototypes being tested in Kenya.
