Aimée Abra Tenu Lawani : Guardian of Traditional Know-How with Kari Kari Africa

Founded by Aimée Abra Tenu Lawani in Togo in 2014, Kari Kari Africa celebrates traditional craftsmanship through its natural products. At Kari Kari Africa, the ancestral soap « Pomedi Coco, » once known as « family soap, » is revived through a recipe passed down through generations. Made from organic coconut oil and lemon verbena essential oil, this soap is ideal for caring for your precious clothes.

Inspired by her mother, a soap maker, Aimée continues this passion through a range of fair-trade and organic soaps, as well as body oils and balms. Located in Kpalimé, 120 km from Lomé, Kari Kari Africa favors cold saponification to preserve the benefits of vegetable oils. The soaps are superfatted and comply with international standards, using local raw materials such as shea butter and cocoa.

Kari Kari Africa’s products are packaged in recycled paper sleeves, embodying an eco-responsible and zero-waste approach.
