In Algiers, Minister Delegate for Education Meriem Cherfi praised Algeria’s significant progress in safeguarding and promoting children’s rights at a special ceremony. She reiterated the country’s commitment to children, citing guarantees in the Algerian constitution for essential rights such as free education, healthcare, and the best interests of the child. Meriem Cherfi emphasized the pivotal role of the National Office for Child Protection and Promotion (ONPPE) in coordinating efforts to support children, including initiatives like the toll-free hotline 11-11 and the « Allô Tofola » app.
