A serious alert has been issued by UNICEF : hundreds of thousands of children in Sudan are at risk of falling ill due to hunger. The war makes things even harder. But we can help them!
UNICEF has just sounded the alarm: in Sudan, many children could become very ill because of hunger. It’s because of the war. But together, we can do something!
Imagine: nearly 700,000 children in Sudan could get sick because of hunger this year. It’s really sad. And it can be very dangerous for them.
In places where the war is raging, it’s even worse. Children can’t always have enough to eat. UNICEF, which helps children all over the world, wants to prevent this situation from getting even worse.
To help, UNICEF provides special medicines to help children feel better. They also monitor where children go, to protect them. But to do all this, they need help.
UNICEF is asking everyone who can to help. They need a lot of money, $840 million, to help 7.5 million children this year. That’s a lot, but if everyone gives a little, it can make a big difference.
