COP30 : world leaders gather to save the earth !

Hello curious minds!
Today, we’re talking about an event adults often discuss: COP30.
What is this complicated word, “COP30”?
Imagine a big world meeting where presidents, ministers, scientists, and even young people come together to talk about a very important topic: the climate of our planet.
They ask themselves how to keep the Earth beautiful, clean, and full of life.
Because, let’s be honest, our planet is starting to cough a little due to warming.
What is climate change?
Climate change is when the Earth becomes too hot.
Why does this happen?
Because humans do things that pollute the air, such as:
- driving cars too often
- running big factories
- cutting down too many trees
All this creates gases that heat up the planet.
The result: more droughts, more floods, and sometimes the weather becomes completely crazy!
What countries promise to do
During COP29, leaders discuss solutions to help repair the damage.
Here’s what they want to do:
- Plant lots of trees to make the air cleaner
- Use solar and wind energy instead of coal
- Encourage people to walk or ride bikes instead of polluting
- Protect water, forests, and animals
- Recycle to avoid mountains of waste
Cool, right?
What can you do?
Well, you can become a little hero for the planet too!
Here are some easy ideas to try today:
- Never throw paper on the ground
- Turn off the lights when you leave a room
- Use a reusable bottle instead of plastic
- Plant a tree or take care of a flower
- And most importantly… talk about the Earth with your friends and family
Every small action counts, promise.
Together for a shining Earth
Our planet is the most beautiful home in the world.
And we only have one.
So, if everyone makes a little effort — children, parents, countries — the Earth can keep shining for a long time.
