Cowpea : Magani don cin abinci mai kyau a Afirka

A Senegal, masu bincike suna aiki a kan wata sabuwar hanya ta noman saniya, shuka mai mahimmanci a Afirka. Ta hanyar binciken da suke yi, suna neman inganta noman wannan shuka da taimakawa manoma wajen ciyar da al’umma gaba.

Cowpea itace legume (tsarin iri kamar wake) wanda ya shahara a Afirka, musamman a Senegal. Ana amfani da shi sau da yawa a cikin jita-jita na gargajiya kuma yana da mahimmanci ga iyalai da yawa. Amma samar da shanu da yawa na iya zama da wahala saboda wasu matsalolin ƙasa.

Masu bincike daga Cibiyar Nazarin Aikin Noma ta Senegal (ISRA) sun gudanar da wani bincike don gano wata hanya ta musamman, da ake kira « rhizo-inoculation », don taimakawa da noman nono da kyau. Wannan hanya ta ƙunshi ƙara ƙananan ƙwayoyin cuta masu amfani a cikin ƙasa don inganta haɓakar ƙasa da kuma taimakawa shuka girma.

Manufar wannan binciken ita ce a bai wa manoma mafita don noman shanu da yawa don haka ciyar da mutane da yawa a Afirka. Idan wannan hanya ta yi aiki da kyau, za ta iya zama muhimmiyar hanya don tabbatar da wadatar abinci a Afirka da kuma sa aikin noma ya dore.
