The Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) concluded on March 1, 2025, after a week celebrating African cinema. Established in 1969, this biennial event highlights the creativity of the continent and provides a platform for African filmmakers.
During this 29th edition, held from February 22 to March 1, 2025, 248 films from 48 countries were showcased. Burkinabè director Dani Kouyaté won the Golden Stallion of Yennenga for Katanga, the Dance of the Scorpions, reaffirming the richness of African cinema.
FESPACO is also for the younger generation, with FESPACO Kids, a program designed to introduce children to the world of film. See you in two years for another exciting edition!
