Tomorrow, December 9, is International Anti-Corruption Day! Corruption happens when someone uses their power to get an unfair advantage. This day helps children understand why corruption is bad for a country and for everyone living there.
Corruption stops countries from developing properly. Money that could build schools, roads, or hospitals can disappear because of dishonest people.
To fight this problem, it’s important to learn honesty from a young age: tell the truth, follow the rules, and never cheat. Countries around the world are working to become more transparent and fair.
Every child can make a difference by always choosing the right path and encouraging others to do the same. Understanding corruption is already a first step to fighting it !
