Jovia Kisaakye, a young entrepreneur from Uganda, founded Sparkle Agro-brands to combat mosquitoes with a special lotion. She transforms spoiled milk into a solution that helps prevent malaria, a dangerous disease in Africa.
Since childhood in Wakiso, Jovia has been affected by malaria, a disease that even took her brother’s life. This inspired her to find a solution. During her university studies, she developed this lotion with her team, using natural ingredients to repel mosquitoes and help people stay healthy.
Sparkle has already sold over 30,000 lotions in two years and aims to help even more people where malaria is a big problem. By recycling spoiled milk, the company supports over 50 families involved in dairy farming and creates jobs for young people in her community.
