Maimouna Ba, a dynamic 28-year-old woman, is fighting to provide education to children displaced by the crisis in Burkina Faso. Originally from Dori, a town in the Sahel, she founded the Femmes pour la dignité du Sahel association in 2020 to support children and women affected by the conflict. Through programs like One Child, One Sponsor, Maimouna has enabled over 120 children to attend school. Her belief: « Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world. »

Despite the challenges, she remains determined to bring a ray of hope. « It all starts with us, » she explains. Maimouna does not see herself as a heroine but as a person committed to improving the lives of others. She dreams of a peaceful Sahel, where education and development will be possible.
