In Nioro du Sahel, six villages show the way to protect girls !
In Nioro du Sahel, six villages decided to stop female cutting and child marriage. After four years of awareness work with UNICEF, these communities promise to protect girls and inspire other villages to do the same. The ceremony included speeches, symbolic gestures, and even a play to explain why these practices are harmful. A big win for girls’ rights in Mali !
