Mandera : Teachers trained in science using virtual labs

The Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA) conducted a five-day training to improve the teaching of science and mathematics in Mandera.

Over 100 junior school teachers learned to use virtual labs to make lessons more interactive and fun for students in Grades 7 to 9.

This initiative will inspire more teachers to embrace science education and enhance their teaching methods. This training is part of a national program covering all 47 counties in Kenya, including Wajir and Garissa. Teachers were encouraged to continue supporting the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) to benefit learners.
