Matina Razafimahefa : Making Learning Fun with Sayna

Matina Razafimahefa, founder of Sayna, an e-learning platform, wants to help people in Madagascar through tech jobs. Her online school is open to everyone without needing any prior qualifications.

Sayna offers fun, game-like learning for three to six months. « First, you learn digital culture, even from a young age, » says Matina. Then, students can specialize in web skills. Sayna also provides paid micro-tasks to motivate learners, with earnings increasing as they progress.

Matina started Sayna in 2017. She saw her mother’s business struggle without proper funding and was determined to create a sustainable model. Sayna has raised 600,000 euros and partnered with big names like Orange Ventures. Matina, born in Côte d’Ivoire and raised in Madagascar, faced challenges but stayed disciplined and focused.

Sayna’s courses are affordable at 9.90 euros per month, with discounts for completing tasks. Over 5,000 people have been trained, and Matina dreams of expanding to Asia and beyond.
