Rwanda pedals into the future with the Youth Racing Cup!

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, over 120 young cyclists gathered in Kigali for a race like no other!

Starting at 9 a.m., the Amahoro Stadium parking lot in Kigali turned into a real race track. It was the 4th stage of Rwanda’s Youth Racing Cup 2025, a cycling competition for kids aged 11 to 19. Boys and girls showed up, helmets on and full of energy!

They came from all over the country — some very young in the U11 category, others almost grown-up in U19. But they all shared one thing: a love for cycling. This big sports event gives young Rwandans a chance to shine and maybe, one day, become world champions!

Fans cheered the riders under the sun, in a joyful and sporty atmosphere. We can’t wait for the next stage!
