In Rwanda, April 7 is a very important day. The country remembers the victims of the 1994 genocide, when over a million people were killed because they were Tutsi. Today, schools, families, and communities hold ceremonies, discussions, and activities to help children understand why remembering is so important. Kids plant trees, listen to true stories, and learn that peace, tolerance, and respect are the best ways to prevent hate and violence. Kwibuka reminds everyone that every life matters and that together, we can build a better future.
