In Burkina Faso, spoiled fish were destroyed and turned into fertilizer to help plants grow. An innovative initiative for health and agriculture!
In Ouagadougou, a big operation took place to destroy spoiled fish unfit for consumption. About 13 tons of rotten fish were seized and destroyed under the supervision of Lieutenant Veterinarian Aboubacar M. Nacro. This action is part of a campaign to protect the health of people by making sure dangerous products don’t end up in their food.
But that’s not all! These fish were turned into organic fertilizer to help grow plants and vegetables. This idea was implemented by the Minister of Agriculture, Commander Ismaël Sombié. It shows how a problem can be turned into a helpful solution for agriculture and the environment.
The authorities are asking citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious products.
