From September 6 to 8, Paris is hosting a very special event: the International Festival of African Diaspora Films (FIFDA Paris 2024)! This festival is like a big party to discover amazing films that tell stories about Africa and its talents around the world.
This year, the 14th edition of the festival presents exciting films by Rwandan director Yuhi Amuli. The first film, Citizen Kwame, is a fascinating story about the challenges of travel visas in Africa and brain drain, which is when very smart people leave their country to seek opportunities elsewhere.
The other film, Un morceau de notre terre, takes us to an imaginary African country. It shows us how China is influencing African countries today. It’s a way to think about the relationships between continents.
FIFDA Paris 2024 is a wonderful opportunity to discover African stories and cultures through cinema. Get ready to be amazed by these films that showcase the richness and diversity of Africa and its diaspora!
