Tunisia takes care of its seas

@Human Rights

Tunisia has decided to protect its waters with a new special zone to rescue people at sea.

Tunisia has informed the United Nations International Maritime Organization that it now has a special zone to assist people in danger at sea. At the end of May, Tunisian Minister of Defense, Imed Memmich, had already spoken about this idea to better protect the country.

During the maritime exercise « Safe Sea 24 » conducted by the Tunisian Navy from May 27 to 29, Memmich explained that Tunisia now has three important things to help at sea: coast guards who take care of everything, a national plan to rescue people at sea, and good coordination among all those who assist.
