In Niger, Wouro Habsatou Aboubacar has turned camel farming into a successful business, producing camel milk, a highly sought-after product. She has become a role model for women in her community.

In Niger, livestock farming is a vital activity practiced by almost every family. But among them, Wouro Habsatou Aboubacar stands out as a unique example. Since 2011, she has created her camel milk production company, a product known for its health benefits.

Wouro started with just a few camels from her family herd, and today, she owns a herd of over 200 camels. Thanks to her determination, she produces between 160 and 180 liters of milk daily, which she sells easily. This milk is in high demand, not only for its nutritional value but also for its medicinal properties.

In a male-dominated sector, Wouro proves that women can succeed in unexpected fields. She also trains other women in her community to help them become self-sufficient and successful. Her dream is to expand her business and help even more women achieve financial independence.
