On January 14, 2024, something extraordinary happened in Egypt: the European Union (EU) and the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) signed an agreement called the « National Initiative for Children’s Empowerment. »
So, what is it exactly? Well, this initiative, funded by the EU, aims to make life better for children in Egypt. How? By improving services to protect them, promoting positive attitudes, and creating a place where boys and girls can develop their superpowers! They will assist 300 children, 70 parents, and 70 teachers/social workers in four different locations. Additionally, they will establish a special training program for those who want to help children be happy and safe.
A place where all children can grow strong and happy
Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, the Minister of International Cooperation, emphasized the importance of taking care of children, expressing the vision for Egypt to become a place where all children can grow strong and happy.
