Nigeria battles diseases

@Global fund

The Global Fund is giving a large sum of money to Nigeria to help fight diseases like HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria.

A large sum of money, $933 million, has been given to Nigeria by the Global Fund to help fight dangerous diseases. It will last for three years, from 2024 to 2026. Some of this money is for fighting HIV, and another part is to help coordinate the response against HIV.

NACA, which deals with AIDS in Nigeria, announced this. They will start using this money by holding meetings to talk about what they can do to help people stay healthy.

Dr. Temitope Ilori, who leads NACA, said that Nigeria has already done good things with the money it received before. For example, they trained doctors, equipped laboratories, and worked with people in communities to help them better understand diseases.
