Soulemane Halif Ngagine is a climate hero! Born in Cameroon, he dreamed of speaking in public from a young age. But he didn’t want to just speak for the sake of it; he wanted his words to make a real impact. As he grew up, he became passionate about climate issues and decided to take action.
After studying in Turkey, he specialized in air pollution. He discovered that measuring pollution is very complicated, especially in developing countries. So, he continued his studies in France and Japan, where he realized the importance of making a tangible impact.
Soulemane then founded Henddu, a startup that creates digital air quality monitors. These tools help governments collect and analyze data to improve air quality and protect people’s health.
With Henddu, Soulemane aims to reduce the 7 million deaths caused by pollution each year. His solution will first launch in Côte d’Ivoire in 2025, before expanding to other countries.
Through his work, Soulemane shows that dreams can become reality and help millions of people live better lives.
