Fatou Ndiaye and the magic factory

Fatou Ndiaye is a Franco-Senegalese engineer. She left her job in Paris to restart a large textile factory in her hometown of Louga, Senegal, to help her village and stop the illegal migration of young people.

One day, Fatou saw a sad story about young people from Louga struggling in Paris. It deeply moved her, prompting her decision to aid her village. She chose to revive the Pitex factory, which had been crucial to the village but had closed down.

Fatou sold her apartment in Paris to raise money for the factory. Now, 30 people work there, and she aims to create even more jobs to prevent youth from leaving. She also recycles fabrics and plans to use solar energy for the factory.

Fatou has worked tirelessly to achieve her dream. She studied in Senegal and then in France, holding significant positions but desiring to help her village. Today, she manufactures clothing for local markets and football teams.

Fatou’s factory is unique because it benefits the environment and trains its workers. She aims to create 40,000 jobs and demonstrate that small businesses can make a significant impact in Africa.
