Empowering women in Uganda’s coffee industry

A step towards equality!

Uganda, known as the « Pearl of Africa, » is famous for its coffee, a key part of its economy. Yet, women, who do 70% of the work on coffee farms, earn far less than men. This inequality limits their independence and slows the country’s growth.

To change this, a special program in Kalungu District is helping women farmers learn management, leadership, and financial skills. With this training, they can better defend their rights and improve their lives.

Uganda’s coffee future depends on equality: by valuing women’s work, the country not only promotes fairness but also boosts its prosperity !
