Koralie Theresine, a Young Inventor Helping to Save Lives

At 22, Koralie Theresine won the Margaret Junior Award 2026, organised by JFD, for her idea: a technology that can help detect a serious infection called sepsis earlier.

A few days ago, young innovator Koralie Theresine, aged 22, received an important award: the Margaret Junior Award 2026, part of the Margaret Awards organised by JFD (Journée de la Femme Digitale).

She was recognised for her project called DigiTwin. It is a “digital twin” idea, which means creating a virtual copy of a patient’s body to better understand what is happening inside.

With this technology, doctors could detect early signs of sepsis, a very serious infection that can become life-threatening if not treated quickly.

According to official JFD information, the project uses artificial intelligence to help doctors make faster decisions and better protect patients.

Koralie Theresine is one of those young talents using technology to help hospitals and save lives.

Her idea shows that science and innovation can protect people and make healthcare more effective.
