Edgar Mujuni is one of three Ugandan engineers who achieved a big dream for their country: sending a satellite into space. The satellite is called PearlAfricaSat-1. It was designed, built, tested, and launched by their team.

With this project, Uganda took an important step into the world of space and science.

Today, Edgar works in Science, Technology and Innovation at the Office of the President of Uganda. His job is to help the country grow through science.

Edgar studied in Japan, where he earned a Master’s degree in Space Systems Engineering. Before that, he studied telecommunications in Uganda.

He also helped develop Edu-Sat, a small educational satellite used to teach young people how space works. His goal is to inspire African children to become engineers and scientists.

His story shows that with hard work and education, even a small country can reach the stars.
