Alain Capo-Chichi is a brilliant inventor known as the « African Steve Jobs ». In his factory in Côte d’Ivoire, he created an amazing phone called « Open G ». This phone speaks over 50 African languages, including 17 Ivorian dialects, thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI). It’s a very special phone for people who can’t read and only speak their village language.
A Phone for Everyone
Alain had this idea thinking of his parents, who were very smart but couldn’t read or write. He wanted to give them a tool to do wonders. Today, he uses technology to help many people in Africa. He won the Global Literacy Award in 2023 with his invention.
An Inventor from Early Days
Alain started inventing at a young age. At 20, he launched CERCO, a project that became a large group with schools and universities in Benin, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, and France. In 2010, he was named the best young entrepreneur in innovation.
