In Völklingen, Germany, an amazing exhibition invites both kids and adults to see Africa in a new light. With stunning artworks, it reveals the richness of this great continent, often misunderstood.
The exhibition is called « The True Size of Africa » and features 26 works by artists such as Zanele Muholi (South Africa) and Géraldine Tobe (Congo). These artworks share the incredible history of Africa, long before colonization.
Visitors also learn about important issues, such as the problems related to the extraction of coltan, a metal used in our phones. The exhibition also shows how Africa has influenced music and dance worldwide. As the team behind the event says: « To understand Africa is to understand the world. »
This artistic adventure is not to be missed, until April 2025!
