The world is confronting a serious food crisis driven by climate and conflicts. Millions of people suffer from hunger due to storms, wars, and droughts. It’s time to unite and take action to assist those in need and safeguard our planet.
On February 13, 2024, the UN sounded the alarm on a global food crisis. Secretary-General António Guterres explained that wars and natural disasters such as storms and droughts leave people hungry and force many to flee their homes. Nearly 174 million people worldwide require food assistance.
A poignant example is Gaza, where many lack sufficient food. And in places like Haiti and Ethiopia, storms and conflicts have left millions without food. It’s time to act.
To help, all countries must come together to protect the planet and assist those experiencing hunger. We must also build stronger and fairer food systems so that everyone can have enough to eat. If we act now, we can create a world where no one goes hungry.
