Nigeria wants its universities and hospitals to always have electricity, thanks to the sun. A big new project is starting!
Nigeria has launched a huge project called the Renewed Hope Solarization Project. The goal is to give solar power to all big universities and hospitals in the country.
Mustapha Abdullahi, the project leader, said that 37 universities and 37 hospitals will each get a 2 MW solar plant. This means they’ll have power even if the main electricity goes out!
Why is this important? Because schools need power for computers, labs, and libraries. Hospitals need it to keep medicine cold and help patients, especially during surgeries.
With solar energy, students can learn better, and doctors can give better care. Nigeria shows us how to move forward with clean ideas!
