@1-54

From October 10 to 13, the 1-54 art fair returns to London to celebrate contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora, featuring lots of new attractions! The 12th edition of the 1-54 art fair will take place in London from October 10 to 13. It’s a very important event that highlights contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. More than 60 galleries from 23 countries will participate this year, and among them, 21 galleries are joining for the very first time!

Artists from Accra, Ghana; Masaka, Uganda; Lagos, Nigeria; Rabat, Morocco; and even Cairo, Egypt, will showcase their works. These galleries bring unique and colorful creations that represent the cultures and stories of their countries.

But that’s not all! On October 10, another exciting event will take place: the Nobel Prize in Literature will be awarded. Who will be the next African laureate after famous writers like Wole Soyinka and Naguib Mahfouz? This prestigious award is the most important in the world, and children, just like adults, are eagerly waiting to find out who will win this year.

So, if you love art and literature, this week in London will be truly special. Grab your crayons and notebook to jot down your favorite artworks and your thoughts on this wonderful celebration of art!
