On April 20th in Paris, something extraordinary happened: a parade with camels! It was to celebrate a special year for these amazing animals all over the world.
Imagine walking through the streets of Paris and meeting… camels! People organized this parade to show how important camels are. They live in very hot places and can carry very heavy things.
Did you know that the UN declared 2024 as the year of camels? To celebrate this, a big parade of these animals was supposed to happen in Paris. It was an idea from Christian Schoettl, the Mayor of Janvry. He really likes camels and already organizes events for them in his town. This year, he wanted to do something special for camels from all over the world.
At the parade, there would have been camels, dromedaries, llamas, and alpacas. People from many countries like Tunisia, India, and even Australia were supposed to come with their animals. Each country would have had its own camel or llama to represent its team. It would have been a really fun day for everyone! 🐫
