Every December 2, on the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, people around the world come together to remind us that no child, woman, or man should ever be treated as an object. This day teaches us that modern slavery still exists, through forced labor or arranged marriages, and that we must unite to fight it.
Slavery is not just history. Even today, millions of people work without freedom or pay. This day encourages us to protect the most vulnerable, say no to injustice, and learn to recognize dangerous situations. Every child can be a defender of freedom by speaking up, alerting others, and respecting everyone. The world becomes better when everyone is free to choose their own life.
