From April 30 to May 2, 2026, gymnasts from several African countries are taking part in the African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships held in South Africa.
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that combines dance, flexibility, and coordination. Athletes perform routines using equipment such as ribbons, hoops, or balls, all set to music.
During the competition, gymnasts present their routines in front of judges, who evaluate their movements, creativity, and expression.
This event gives young athletes the chance to meet, share their passion, and represent their countries on the African stage.
It is also an opportunity to discover new talent and inspire children to take part in sports.
