The tomb was discovered in the Sheikh Abd el-Qurna necropolis, on the west bank of the Nile.
According to inscriptions found at the site, the tomb belonged to a man named Paser. Experts believe it dates back to the Ramesside period, during Egypt’s 19th and 20th Dynasties.
The paintings show Paser paying tribute to the gods and sitting with his wife in front of a table filled with offerings.
For archaeologists, these images are very valuable. They help them better understand how ancient Egyptians imagined life after death.
The excavations will continue. Researchers hope to learn more about the people buried in the tomb.
