What if waste could be turned into useful objects? What if young people invented new ways to produce energy without polluting the planet? In Ghana, these ideas are at the heart of an initiative encouraging young Africans to take action for the environment.
On 22 and 23 October, a conference held in Accra brought participants together around a major challenge: finding solutions to protect natural resources and build a more environmentally friendly economy.
The message is simple: forests, soil, wetlands and animals are precious. We must protect them while also helping the people who depend on these resources to earn a living.
Young people can play an important role through their ideas and creativity. With support from researchers, businesses and public authorities, their projects can grow and become real businesses.
An eco-friendly idea can help the planet and create jobs. Recycling, saving energy or growing food in better ways: every solution counts!
