Imagine digging in the ground and finding… a huge wall and a large ditch! That is what happened at Oued Beht, in northwestern Morocco.
Archaeologists believe the structure is around 3,500 to 4,000 years old, from the Bronze Age.
But who lived there? Researchers have found evidence of a large community. These people grew wheat and barley, raised animals and made tools and pottery.
The huge wall also shows that these people knew how to build and work together.
This discovery is helping archaeologists learn more about how people lived in Morocco thousands of years ago.
And here is the surprising part: these structures had already been spotted in the 1930s, but their age and purpose remained a mystery!
