In 2026, the day is even more special: it marks 60 years since UNESCO and the International Labour Organization adopted an international recommendation about teachers.
And schools are changing too! Computers, the Internet, new technologies and artificial intelligence are becoming part of everyday life for many students and teachers.
So, what will the school of tomorrow look like? One thing is certain: teachers will continue to play an important role in helping children learn, understand and grow.
