100 Years of Children’s Rights : a journey towards justice

For a very long time, adults realized it was important to protect children and give them rights. Let’s take a look back at this incredible story to understand how things have changed.

Long ago, children often worked in dangerous places like mines and factories. But over time, people started caring more about their safety and well-being. In 1923, a first declaration was made to protect children all around the world.

Steps Forward

After the big war, adults continued working to ensure all children had rights. In 1959, another declaration was made to remind everyone that children have rights everywhere in the world.

In 1989, a very important convention was adopted. It says that all children have the right to be protected and treated fairly, everywhere in the world. It was a big victory for children worldwide!

In Conclusion

Although much has been done to protect children, there’s still work to be done. Millions of children are still forced to work instead of going to school. But thanks to the efforts of many people and organizations, we continue to progress towards a world where all children can grow up safe and healthy.
