Benjamin Daniel Gabriel, known as Ben Dancer, loves to dance. At 32, he took on a crazy challenge: dance for as long as possible and try to break a world record!
For almost 177 hours, he danced in Lagos from September 22 to 29. That’s 7 days, 8 hours, 52 minutes and 59 seconds of dancing!
His goal was to beat the previous record of 127 hours, set in 2023 by 16-year-old Indian dancer Srushti Sudhir Jagtap.
Ben Dancer had been training for four years to take on this challenge. He was also allowed to take short breaks to rest.
But breaking a record was not his only goal. He also wanted people around the world to discover African dances.
The new record must now be checked by Guinness World Records.
And you, how long could you dance?
