Move Afrika kicks off in February 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda, with the « Move Afrika: Kigali » concert at BK Arena on February 21st. It will then continue to Lagos, Nigeria, on February 25th at The Palms. These concerts are part of a larger project designed to create jobs, support entrepreneurship, and drive economic investment across Africa.
At the Kigali event in December 2023, Kendrick Lamar headlined, focusing on job creation, skill development, and youth entrepreneurship.
John Legend said: “Africa has always been a global cultural powerhouse, and it’s an honor to be part of the future of live music on the continent. I’m excited to perform in Kigali and Lagos as part of Move Afrika, an initiative that creates opportunities for young people through music and the creative industries.”
